Food was good, service was good but being only 7:15am and was told I had to sit at the counter and not a booth was a little much. I can see it when the restaurant is crowded or after 9am when it gets busier but not early when only one other party was there. Sign out front said one check per party. That is not the best of customer service in that respect. How hard is to split up a check?

Thank you for your comments. Let me address your two main points:
1) Next time you will be able to sit at a table, if as you said, it was early and slow.
2) The no separate check policy stems from the outrageous credit card fees. By federal law (credit card reform act), we are now allowed to make a minimum charge of $10.00 to use a credit card. Since our check averages are below $10.00 per person, and in order to save on our credit card fees, we do not allow separate checks.
As is, the real cost of allowing customers to use credit is around $10,000 a years in fees with the current policy. $10,000 is enough to employ a college student part time for a year!
